The Thorp Grist Mill is a 4 story building constructed during 1881 and 1882. The mill provided flour to the area by April of 1883. It had a 75 barrel daily capacity when running at full operation. While originally a stone grinding mill it was converted to a roller mill near the turn of the century. After this conversion was made it was a 4 roller, 8 cut mill. These machines are substantially restored and make up the primary displays at The Thorp Mill interpretive site.
