Tours of all three floors of the Thorp Mill are available Friday through Sunday during the summer travel season (June-August) from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Fridays, and 11:00am to 4:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Visitors can view a timeline of events and historical artifacts from the mill’s history, as well as a restored mill operator’s office and machinery from the mill’s first-floor operations. All of our staff members have been fully vaccinated, but we still request that visitors bring and wear masks inside the mill due to the limited space on the upper floors of the mill.

Throughout the entire year, visitors are welcome during daylight hours to take a self-guided tour of the mill grounds and view an interpretive exhibit about the site’s history. Ten separate interpretive stations explain in intricate detail the mill’s construction, operation, and renovation. Picnic tables are also available for family outings and as a rest stop for weary travelers.
