The mill sits just minutes off the I-90 freeway in picturesque Thorp, WA.
Tours of all three floors of the Thorp Mill are available Wednesday through Sunday during the summer travel season (May-August). Visitors can view a timeline of events and historical artifacts from the mill’s history, as well as a restored mill operator’s office and machinery from the mill’s first-floor operations.
Throughout the entire year, visitors are welcome during daylight hours to take a self-guided tour of the mill grounds and view an interpretive exhibit about the site’s history. Ten separate interpretive stations explain in intricate detail the mill’s construction, operation, and renovation. Picnic tables are also available for family outings and as a rest stop for weary travelers.
